ADVOCACY

Carolyn Kang_Headshot_Landscape.jpg

Carolyn Kang is an advocate for mental health, gender equality, and racial justice. Recently, she made headlines after starting an initiative giving away free safety alarms to AAPI New Yorkers (focusing on women, the elderly, and LGBTQIA folks) amidst a national uptick in hate crimes against Asian-Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has distributed over 1600 alarms and continues to speak out to #StopAsianHate. Her work has been featured in ELLE Magazine, Health Magazine, NBC News, PIX11 News, MIT Technology Review, NY1, FOX5, Patch.com, BK Reader, and other news publications.
